No MC????

Any brides that are already married that only had a DJ??? How did it go was it ok without MC? I may go with a wedding package that includes dj but not MC? Should I add MC or is it not nessessary?

My DJ acted as MC---it was fine....I wanted less interaction/talking anyway---when watching the video I didn't realize he was MC-ing as much as he actually did in the moment!

I would. You could always ask a friend or family member who has the talent to MC your wedding.

I'm not doing an MC. I don't want the coxing and stuff. Plus my father was really against having one and I wanted to respect his opinion. He just wants a nice atmosphere w/out all that stuff.

We didn't have an MC - the DJ did just fine. We didn't think it was necessary and it wasn't for us. Frank at FM Entertainment did a great job!!!!

I would be careful asking no professionals to do an important aspect of you wedding. Also, these people would be working during the reception and wouldn't be able to have the fun of a guest. Just a thought.

We didn't have an MC and we didn't need one...Our DJ was Vinny from High Voltage and he did all the announcements....He was awesome!!!

I'm not having an MC either. I just really don't like them and hate all the talking and trying to get people to dance. The less talking the better IMO.

We didn't have one and as the rest said, we didn't need one. We made sure we asked for a DJ that could make a few announcements to get us throught the night. We used Terry at More Than Music, he was great.

We're not having an MC. It's because I hate when you go to weddings and you are harassed the whole time to be out on the dance floor. I like to dance but I like to socialize too. I've asked my DJ to just play music and annouce stuff only when he needs to. I hope he respects our requests.

Not married yet, but the DJ we booked has a philosophy that you don't need an MC. He says that it should be more about the couple and the music. He will step in with all the major announcements, but that's about it.... more time for dancing!!!
