No MOH!!!!!

OK, maybe I just feel the need to get a little sympathy!

WIth 3 days to go before my wedding, I found out my MOH cannot come!

She is 4 months pregnant and was put on 1 week of bed rest as of Tuesday. She lives in California which makes it impossible for her to be here.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would have my wedding without her there! She has been my best friend since I was 11 and besides my FH, parents and brother she is the one other person I really needed to be there!

The good news is that she is OK and her baby (which we call Pickels) is OK. I am just really sad!

awe, maybe she can film something for you and you can play it at the reception...a little message, her toast to you and your FH! I hope everything goes well with her and baby Pickles hehe

I'm sure she feels terrible that she can't make it. My good friend who was suppose to be my MOH couldn't come last min too. If your getting married in a church you could ask that a small pray be said for her and her baby.

That's a great idea.... thanks! And I do realize that she probably feels 10,000 times worse about not being able to come! Everything will be fine!

See if any family member or friend can video tape some stuff and send it to her while you're on your honeymoon. It'll make her feel like she was there and can talk to you about it once you get back, as if she was there. Also, give her a call the morning of your wedding for something really stupid, funny stupid that only friends can understand. Walk down the aisle with something of hers. Her heart will already be there.

BTW: Pickles makes me laugh!!!

I heard of one bride whos brother is over seas during her wedding but he called her during the ceremony and give his blessing. They put the phone on speaker so everyone could hear it. Maybe she could call you and wish you well!

it is heartbreaking. i am going through a similiar situation - not w/ my maid of honor though.

it is terrible and feels like you are in a nightmare - @ least that is how i feel.

i would have another BM fill in and pray for the strenght to get through it. its going to break your heart knowing that he heart is breaking by her not being able to be there. but @ least her reason is for a greater good. in 5 more months she will have created a whole new, healthy, perfect person that you both can love and share a life with.

It is still going to be a happy day. your wedding day is about you and your DH - as long as he makes it everything will be just fine.

just make sure you fly out there and see her and share every picture and memory made that day.

It is even better... their last name is Nickels, so the baby is Pickels Nickels! (they aren't finding out if it is a boy or a girl!)

I'm so sorry! I'm happy to hear she and her baby are okay but it is so sad she won't be able to be there to celebrate with you. I'm sure she'll be there in spirit though!

I'm sorry to hear that she won't be present at your wedding. I know it sounds cheezy, but she will be there with you in spirit, and I'm sure she will be thinking of you the entire day.
