i am so pissed as if my job doesnt suck enough, i m bored 24/7 so much that i can kill myself, at least i have the internet to pass the hours and get stuff accomplished and now my boss has decided no more internet access b/c the risk of getting viruses is too high. ***!! i m so pissed b/c what m i gonna do now watch the friggen paint dry, if they think i was pms'ing b4 im gonna kill someone now..

exxactly! i have told them a billion times, plus i have this whole anti virus thing for my computer, plus everything is blocked as well as popups and i dont dl anything!! i may b the youngest in the office but im certainly the smartest as far as these losers r concerned. i swear i aint doing a thing in here unless its absolutly necessary, screw that:(

There are about a million and two steps that can be taken to prevent virus invasion.
In many business the internet is vital to a company's productivity.
If it were me, I would research some hardware and software firewalls and suggest them to your boss..

So sorry to hear that! What idiots!! The FBI can have internet, but your company can't. How silly. Just sneak in lots of wedding magazines.
I know how you feel about being dependent on the internet. Work is SO SLOW that I have something to do maybe one day a work.

trust me it sounds great to b bored all day and sometimes it is but my g-d my brain is shrinking and i m getting fat from sitting vs. eating all day

Oh my God! I thought I was the only one bored to death at work. If it wasn't for the internet, I'd for sure kill myself.
I am the only person in this office all week. The phone doesn't ring, no one comes in unless its a Wednesday when the executive committee has their meeting and they come in at 3:30 and I leave at 4.
I totally understand the sitting vs eating. I've been trying so hard to lose some weight for my sons wedding which is quickly approaching and nothing is helping. Boredom is horrible and my brain is fried.
