Are there any girls who are opting NOT to wear any necklace with their gown? what's everone's thoughts on this?... thanks

In my opinion, you can wear no necklace if you go with big earrings. Otherwise, I like a necklace. But that's just me.

I did not wear a necklace b/c I wore a beautiful antique headpiece. If you are using a tiara or headpiece, you should skip the necklace IMO.
I just wore beautiful earrings.....

I had a hard time with this too. I have a very simple strapless gown. The 'accessory specialists' at Kleinfeld helped me choose a tiara and earrings but said that I don't need a necklace. Their reasoning was b/c my gown has detail at the waist, and that the necklace would 'divide me up' too much. I think it depends on the gown and what other accessories you wear. (Sorry - that wasn't much help, was it! )
Try some necklaces on with your dress, if possible. Take pictures with the necklaces and without and see what looks best - that would probably help the most.

I skipped the necklace too...wore a tiara and a gorgeous sparkly pair of earrings and bracelet instead!

I am wearing a headpiece and a necklace. All of my jewelry will be very subtle though. You an pull it off if nothing is big.

i'm not stapless, but i'm not wearing a necklace. the most ornamentation on my dress is right at the top, so i think it would look odd. but to each there own!

I wore a strapless gown, with diamond stud earrings and a small pendant necklace. Both pieces were very simple.

I was planning on borrowing a simple strand of pearls from Grandma, my tiara is very simple and I was planning on small pearl earrings....too much???

I wore a pretty tiara and earrrings and necklace. They all matched nicely, I got loads of compliments.
I think as long as you match it up correctly and each piece isn't too big, you'll be fine

I'm wearing a strapless gown with beading at the top with a simple necklace and simple earrings. It really depends on what your dress looks like and how big each piece of jewelry is.
