No Pics Allowed! (wedding gowns!)

No Pics Allowed! (wedding gowns!)

is this normal? I went into one boutique and they wouldn't let my MOH photograph me in the dress! How else could you really make a choice unless you can go home and look at yourself in different designs?

Unfortunately, this is pretty standard. The only place I went to that allowed pics was Village Bridal in Babylon. Otherwise, try to sneak some with your camera phone!

Re: No Pics Allowed! (wedding gowns!)

the only places I have been that allowed me to take pics were:

Davids Bridal
Village Bridal
Designer Loft (NYC)
MeMes Bridal (Larchmont)
and some place in CT that I can't remember the name of

every place else would not allow you to take a pic until you actually placed an order and then you could take as many as you want.

Alotta places don't let you take photos until you purchase the dress. By best advice would be to get a friend to snap photos with a phone when no one is looking.

Try to sneak one when your in the dressing room I know it's a tight squeeze in there by maybe you can get waist up pics then waist down. That does stink you def would want to look when u get home.

The only place I've seen that allowed photos was DB. All other places did not allow it until you actually purchased the dress, because they do not want you to take a picture of it and shop around to try to get it at a better price. This is standard practice.

hmm i've found some places let you and some just dont because they are afraid you are going to take pics of the dress and get it made somewhere else... which is silly cause if you want to you can find it online probably anyway.
Just have your girls sneak in the dressing room with you before you change and snap away

Yup this is true. It ***** but I had my little cousin with me and she took pics of all the dresses with my phone. she put the phone on silent and just acted like she was texting! perfect plan.

Davids bridal lets you take as many as you want though, well the one in Westbury does.
