Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
I don't think we are going to have one. First of all, we are not having a rehearsal, 2nd - his parents haven't offered anything!!!! So I think what we want to do is have bridal family, close family, and any OOT guests who may already be in for a party two nights before the wedding - it will be summer and backyard is huge! very casual - prob catered, but fun and low key!!

We are not having a rehearsal dinner....The night before the wedding, we will be going to the chinese buffet. Any OOT's will be welcome to join us...but nothing formal.

We are not having a RD either (the rehearsal will take place the day of) - my parents are having OOT guests at their house the night before.

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
We are not having a RD either. We are getting married at Oheka so we figure we can go over it the day of. Plus we have 22 pp in our BP, so having a RD is like having a mini wedding (50pp).
Way too many!

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
NO rehearsal dinner for us... If my parents want to do something for out OOT guests we will either go to dinner or figure out something b/c my parents don't want to do anything w/FILs.
I don't want anything b/c that would mean FH would go with his side & me with mine...I hope by then both families can figure out a way just to be together for us...

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
I'm leaning towards no. We are havingn an actual rehearsal, and then we might have cake & coffe at my paretns house. reharsal isn't till & thoguh, so it would be too late to havea bigger the night before the wedding- & I'd rather relax & just hang out at home with the family.
I have a feeling FH's aunt might offer to ahve people at her house since she lives near the church. I guess that's ok, but I'm more comfortable at my parents house.

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
If it were up to me, I'd rather NOT have a rehearsal dinner ... mainly because its far from where we live, its gonna be late at night, and I know at that point the last thing I'm gonna feel like doing is having a big old dinner when I'm totally stressing.
BUT my FMIL is insisting on having the dinner .. it means a lot to her. Since she's been so wonderful and helpful to me, I cannot say no!!

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
We had one, but very informal. We went to a family style italian restaurant, wore informal clothes and called it a 'meet and greet', so that those who didn't know one another could get to meet each other. It was at 3pm too, so it wasn't very expensive:) ($15 a person).

Re: No Rehearsal Dinner???
We aren't having a real one. We are going to invite our friends and close family to a bar/lounge and have a party there. that way the out of town guests have something to do, and we can be with our friends and family. It will be informal.
