No rehearsal dinner?

No rehearsal dinner?

We need advice... we are not doing rehearsal the night before the wedding b/c we can't do it at the RH. Are we still obligated to host a dinner the night before anyway? We are trying to stay on budget...help!

No need for a rehearsal dinner.. I'm doing a BBQ rehearsal since its in the summer.. But if someone has a large enough house, ask for the space for a few hours and have someone (Mom, sister, aunt, etc) cook and DONE!!

We are in the same situation.. no rehearsal until 20mins before. We have tons of out of town guests who are coming in on Thursday night (Friday wedding) and many are in the bridal party so we are most likely throwing a dinner party the night before at our house so they don't have to pay for dinner Thursday night on top of what they have done for us for the wedding. If they all weren't coming from out of town, then we would have most likely decided to skip it and just go out with the bridal party to a bar or such.

We are also having a rehearsal for the ceremony about 20 mins beforehand, so no need for a rehearsal dinner. Originally, we were thinking of hosting a bridal party luncheon, but don't know if we will be doing that now. The only time we could really do it would be the weekend before, and that happens to be Memorial Day weekend, so people will be away.

No-we got married at the RH and they don't do rehearsals so we didn't do a dinner. We couldn't afford to host it and needed the money we were getting from our parents for the actual wedding. I don't think anyone will mind.

Negative. We got married at the RH and they don't do rehearsals. We did not host a Rehearsal Dinner. Nobody missed it.

my friend didn't have a formal dinner either. She had people over their house and did the rehersal there and then provided dinner.

A friend of mine had no rehersal at all. So therefore no rehersal dinner what she did do was invite the BP and the bride and grooms parents to thier apartment for some snacks and drinks the night before just to be together yet nothing to formal before the big day. Thats where they gave the BP the gifts thanked us, It turned out real nice.

we didn't have a rehearsal dinner either since we got married at our RH and the rehearsal was just right before the actual ceremony. Plus we were trying to save money, so we just had a casual get together at our house the night before the wedding with our bridal party.

Absolutely not!

We set up a local pizzeria to meet and give out the gifts. The family and friends were fine with it. After all, they should know your budget and understand if they truly care about you. We paid about $50. There is a pizzeria in Farmingville that is about $8.50 pie and $2 bottle soda. We had them reserve tables and ordered 4 pies to start with and some bottles of soda. We gave them a tip. It worked out just fine. We didn't have a rehearsal since it was it the hall. We were able to incl spouses also.

We are still going to have the rehearsal dinner even if we cant do the rehearsal. Thats when we will give our bridal party gifts and everything. We don't have a huge BP so we're thinking of possibly hosting it at our home but who knows....

We're not doing a rehearsal the night before either but will still have the rehearsal dinner. FH's dad still wants to give it.
