'No' responses?

'No' responses?

I have a question regarding people who sent back 'no' responses and were thoughtful enough to send a check with the response. I was going to go and pick up a small thank you card to mail to them now and then send them the formal thank you's w/ a picture after the wedding. Does this sound ok? what is the proper ettiquette on this anyway?
Thanks!

That's what I would do but I am incredibly anal about sending Thank You's.

(BTW, the way, that's nice - the only no I got didn't even have any 'sorry we can't make it', etc - just the regrets line checked!!)

I had notecards printed that just say our first names on them. They match our invites. I will send those out to the people who we get gifts from before the wedding. I am only sending one thank you.

and it was the sweetest thing too. it was from my brothers best friend (like a brother to me). he wrote a little note saying how disappointed he was that he'll be missing it and for us to have a wonderful wedding! and a very generous gift of $200.

there is no way i can wait months to thank him for that.
