i had my main shower (have a little one this weekend) and didn't get any of these things. isn't that when people usually give them?

does no one do this tradition anymore?

As far as I know, these things are not given to you specifically at your shower.

Although I'm not doing most of the so-called traditional wedding things, i.e., I'm catholic but not getting married in a church, I don't plan on doing the bouquet toss, however, I do want to follow the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue tradition...just don't know what these things are yet...

Dress is new...
Old?
Borrowed?
Blue??

I've never heard that you are suppossed to get those things at your shower.

Mine are:
new - dress, tiara, veil
borrowed - possibly a bracelet from a family friend
old - might be the same bracelet
blue - garter given to me by my MOH

Never heard of you getting these things at your shower, but here is what I used.

New - dress and shoes
borrowed - I borrowed the 2-tier slip from my sister-in-law for under my dress
blue - my garter
old - my mom gave me an old penny from the year that I was born and we put it in my shoe.

Don't worry - I am sure you will cover all your bases.

Like the others have said...I never heard of these things being given out at the shower. I've heard them given (especially the borrowed/old/blue ones) the day OF the wedding...
