my fh and i don't really want to do tuxedos, to go along with our beachy theme. i love the idea, but i'm not sure if i want my fh to wear the same exact thing as the groomsmen. here is a picture of something similar to what i am looking for.
my girls are going to wear tea length dresses, but i will be very formal. i was toying with the idea of having him wear a blue tux, but they will still look the same from waist up, so i was thinking of maybe a khaki tux. is that weird? i've never seen one before... any advice?
thanks ladies!

Re: no tuxedo wedding
My girls are wearing satin tea-length separates and my dress is kind of on the elegant side. But, FH doesn't want to wear a tux.
He is wearing a khaki linen blend suit from Banana Republic and the guys will wear the pants only with shirts and ties. I already got really nice ties from Macy's that actually tie (no pun intended) the less dressy guys with the more dressy girls.
Bottom line: It will be very hot and I want them to be comfortable.
Let me know if pics will help you, I can upload them for you.

Re: no tuxedo wedding
we are not doing tuxes or even dark colored suits. FH will be in a khaki colored suit - light and airy. so will his men! the most formal thing in our party will be me.

I dont think there is anything wrong with going iwth a suit, if it goes with your girls dresses then do that. Aug07OFCBride had her boys in khaki and they looked awesome

Re: no tuxedo wedding
maybe have FH wear a different color shirt and tie??
My fh will wear a tux like the rest of the guys but will have a different vest and boot to stand out.

Re: no tuxedo wedding
i think its a great idea!!!
..but Im partial, seeing as for my beachy themed sorta casual wedding we had no tuxes, tea length BM dresses, DH wore something (khgaki tux) diff than GM (dress shirt and pants).
check my review for the whole look if you havent seen it
PS..cant really see that pic..too small.

Re: no tuxedo wedding
we did shirts with linen or khaki pants for our guys....DH wore white pants & the guys wore khaki to make him 'stand out'....my Dad being 'old school' insisted on wearing a jacket & tie but looked great in the navy blazer tan pants combo! HTH! (more pics in albums)
