no veil

no veil

Is anyone else thinking of mot having a veil? I don't think its me, I'd rather have just flowers in my hair? I'm not sure how that would work, though.

I was thinking about going without the veil. Then my mother told me that i would only have to wear it for a little bit of time.

Re: no veil

I'm going without a veil. I know its not me. Every veil I've tried on I hate, so I decided why make myself wear something I don't like on my day. So, no veil regardless of what others say. I am doing rhinestone and pearl hairpins.

Re: no veil

that sounds pretty.
I think I'd want the veil all the time or none of time, and i want flowers in my, hair which a veil wil cover, so I amy skip it.
I do like the look of a mantilla, but I think I prefer flowers though. Can't find any pics of flowers the way I'm thinking of though.

i was just saying this today. how funny. i really don't think a veil will go with the hair style i would like to get. so i think you will be fine with no veil.

I am not a veil person either. I plan on flowers and beautiful pins.

Re: no veil

I'm not a veil person either - the tulle was too scratchy and felt too heavy on my head. Some of them made me feel like I was peeking out from a cage.

Then I tried on the mantilla that matches my gown...and I fell in love with it. It's English netting - so it's super soft and very lightweight (the beading makes it heavier). But since it's cathedral length, I'll be removing it at the reception and plan on having some sort of antique pin(s) or clip(s) in my hair.

ETA: or a flower.
