no veil and ready to hurt my family
So for whatever reason, I really don't want to wear a veil. I'm just not a fan and don't like the way they look on me. My mom is having a meltdown now because of it, lol. I found a hair comb that matches my dress perfectly, at least I think. So when i show it to her her, her response is, 'That's not much of a headpiece.' I said, 'It's not a headpiece, its s comb. I dont want a tiara, headband or veil!!!' UGH shes driving me nuts. Then I found these simple gold glittery flats and FSIL says I should wear more of a sandal because it's going to be summertime. I try explaining that no one is going to see my shoes and that I just want to be comfortable. I'm seriously ready to hurt someone, lol. I put up pics of my dress and accessories. Do you think the clip is to small. I don't, but maybe other opinions will help. I'm just about ready to elope!!

It all looks beautiful!! mothers are such pains in the butts sometimes. You just need to explain that you want to be comfortable and hope that they respect your wishes.

I agree, everything ties together beautifully. I'm not wearing a veil either, it just didn't work for me either. Plenty of brides go without a veil. I'm sure your mother means well, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating

I think a veil is nice, but I'm not a fan of how blushers looked on me. My mom wasn't happy that I didn't want a blusher, but came to terms with it and ended up really liking my vision when she saw it all together. I thought it would be nice to still have a veil sitting low on the back of my head. I plan to take it out right after the ceremony pretty much though.Because your dress has a little bit of color, I can totally see why you don't want to wear a veil. I think your dress has a more modern look to it, and your flats and earrings will really look perfect with the gown!!
In my opinion, I think you could get a bigger headpiece though. I think it is BEAUTIFUL, but I have seen similar side combs at Barrons in tri county that are larger. I think something just a little bigger would be perfect!
Regardless of what anybody in your family or on here says though, it's your day. Wear want YOU want :)

It's your wedding and you are the bride ... Do whatever you want!!! I'm wearing flats too and alot of ppl are being annoying about it ... So I know exactly how you feel!!! I love your dress and whole look. I don't think your dress needs a veil. I'm not wearing a blusher either I felt claustrophobic. Will people not like that? Of course not but I don't care lol!! How about this hair vine? I bought from this seller she's sooo amazing. Theyre not a tiara they are more casual but still glam and flexible. http://www.etsy.com/listing/173271530/swarovski-crystal-hair-vine-crystal?ref=sr_gallery_18&ga_search_query=Gold+hair+vine+crystal&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=allhttp://www.etsy.com/listing/155553871/gold-hair-vinecrystal-hair-vine-wedding?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=Gold+hair+vine+crystal&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=1&ga_search_type=all

I think it all looks great. I say it is your day and wear what you want. I also am not wearing a veil. I would remind everyone that you are the bride and it is your day.

It's your wedding & you should do what makes you happy! If anyone says anything about you not wearing a veil just say thanks for the suggestion but I've made up my mind & I'm very happy with my decision!!

you are the bride, do what you want, but also know when to give a little. i've learned that lesson with my mom. she wanted me to wear a beaded veil but i refused and i ended up with lace. however, there are other things i just don't see the point in arguing with her about.in short, it's your day and you're the one who should feel beautiful and comfortable in what you're wearing. who cares what FSIL says about your shoes. guess what, i'm wearing closed toe heels and i'm getting married in the summer too. LIVE ON THE EDGE!!

You matched the hair comb and dress perfectly - beautiful. Do what is going to make you happy. The last thing you want is for the un-happiness to show in the pictures when you're feeling uncomfortable and miserable.

I'm not wearing a veil either. I thought I would have that 'I'm a bride!' moment when I put one on, but each time I did, i felt weird. It's hard to explain, but it just didn't feel right. So i'm just giong to wear my hair half up/half down with a sparkly headband. I agree with everyone else - do what makes YOU happy - everyone else will get over it!And i think all your accessories look perfect!
