No Wrapped Gifts at Bridal Showers

What do they call the shower's where everyone wraps the gifts in cellophane of just leaves them unwrapped??

I don't know but when you find out let me know because I want that. Wrapping is a waste of paper and unwrapping is a waste of time.

My girfriend is doing that- she called it a 'green shower'- no wasted paper!!!!

ooooooooo good idea i never heard of that but thats a great idea i hate the paper everywhere to clean up it is such a waste.

I went to a shower like this and was a little weirded out at first. It was sooo nice not to have to bother to wrap the gift and going through the presents went quickly. The shower had an insert that said something about the bride being environmental aware and prefers no paper to tear...it then went on to say something about bringing your gift with just a bow. It rhymed and was quite cute.

Yep that was my ONLY request for my shower when my sis started planning it. Some family members may think it's rude but when people don't have to sit there for over an hour and watch you open gifts...they'll appreciate it!

i want one of these showers and i was told no......i love the idea and i hate showers for this reason sitting through the gifts it torture! but my mom and MIL called me tacky and said no way....i guess so much for what the bride wants!

I had a 'Green Shower' - the invites stated 'Save the trees no gift wrapping please!' - It was great. Not only did it save paper, it saved a ton of time!!!
