Nobody tells me on the TTC board so I came here

I would like ot start charting my temprature so when the tiem comesin a few month to TTC I am ready.

What kind and that brand of termometor do i need to buy and what exactly is it that I need to do?

All I know is you stick it 'down there' first thing in the morning before getting out of bed...

oh really? i thought you just took your 'regular temperature'...like orally....what do I know - I got knocked up accidentally.

i know that charting works for a LOT of women - do you have the Taking charge of your Fertility book? I know that helps a lot. As far as the thermometer goes I have NO idea. Sorry.

You can take your temperature orally. As Jenny recommended, read Taking Charge of YOur Fertility. It explains everything in detail in terms of how to read your temperature pattern, and how to combine temp. with other observations to predict ovulation.

Edited to add you need a basal body thermometer. You can get them anywhere..Eckerd, CVS...

You need the basal therm. I got a digital one MUCH easier IMO.

I used to keep my chart on www.fertilityfriend.com
it is free and helps you to know when the best days are and what is going on each day.

Also, that chatroom has super charting experts!

I used a basal glass therm. and had no problems.

Anya ... I have a basal therm that I never used b/c I bought the fertility monitor instead! I knew I wouldn't be disciplined enough to chart every day until I conceived. BTW ... monitor worked in 1 month!

Let me know if you want it .. I can't return it, its been too long!
