NON-CATHOLIC CHURCH

NON-CATHOLIC CHURCH

HELLO ALL! i would like to get married in a church (right now the ceremony is scheduled at the reception site). Problem is I grew up in the Christian faith (Pentecostal) and my FH went to Catholic church as a child. Neither one of us are currently a member of any church. My parents would probably be upset if I married in a Catholic church only because that is not the religion I was raised in and most of my family is not Catholic. I'm sure they would be okay with Methodist, Evangelical or anything similar. Can anyone recommend a church? OH the catch is that I am getting married in Queens and would like the church to also be in Queens.
THANKS!

Hi...I know your situation well. I wanted to get married in a Protestant church but not an Evangelical Christian one and FH was only baptized Catholic and doesn't want it in a Catholic church

My FH and I are getting married at The Community Church of East Williston.

Check them out their church is beautiful. I have pics in my album also.

You can also check out a unitarian church..there is a beautiful one in Gardencity and in Manhassett.

FM me if you need anymore help.

I wanted that church but the FH was adamant about everything being on LI. We compromised with Nassau Cty...LOL.

The FH Church in the Gardens is GORGEOUS. Just make sure you ask them about their parking situation. I'm not sure if they have a parking lot and the streets where they are located are 'parking by permit' only since they are private streets. I've passed it soo many times and never looked to see if they have parking.
