Non-fresh flower centerpieces

Non-fresh flower centerpieces

Hi all~

I am helping one of my BM's who is getting married in the DR in August. Believe it or not, the cost of fresh flowers there is outrageous. Does anyone have any pics of some centerpiece ideas we could use that don't involve fresh flowers?

She is using creams and pale green if that helps.

TIA

My friend used fake calas for her CPs. They looked really nice. Of course her wedding was in 2004 and I didn't have a digital camera then so this is one of my scanned pics that has the fake calas on the left of FH and my friend's FH.

I have hear great reviews I am getting my stems from them and I should be getting them some time next week. Just a tip if she does order from them her wedding date is earlier then it is. Cause they are very busy and its like a one man show. HTH

Silk flowers may turn some people off, in my opinion , but the callas don't look too bad because the plastic they are made of looks a lot like real white callas.

Here are some other ideas and pictures:

Feathers
How about featers for an art deco theme... feathers are all the rage in fashion now

Paper Flowers
Blame Martha Stewart but they are poping up in all the chic weddings

Floating Candles
Very simple and elegant in groups

Branches Trees and Crystals
Remember you can also always paint the branches and add gold paint, or fine glitter. Crystals are expensive, but cheap rhinestones are all over the net.
