Non-Religious Ceremony Readings???

I was thinking of using this one from Sex and The City... I'm a big Carrie fan

His hello was the end of her endings.
Her laugh was their first step down the aisle.
HIs hand would be hers to hold forever.
His forever was as simple as her smile.
He said she was what was missing.
She said instantly she knew.
She was a question to be answered.
And his answer was 'I do.'

Does anyone have any others? Or know a good site to find them? I have been googling this all night and keep coming up with same ones...

I love it but I can't see making my male cousin read it... I'm hoping FH asks a female to do a reading so I can convince him to have her read that!!!

I love the show One Tree Hill, and this was a speech that one of the characters was supposed to make when he was best man... I've always loved it...

Gina, that is so funny you posted this tonight! We just met with our officiant tonight for the first time (Rev. Deb, she's amazing!) and she sent me home with a huge packet of readings and poems- and I was JUST looking them over, trying to find one i liked.. with no success. You're a godsend.

I think you should ABSOLUTELY use the SATC one. But just in case you want to look at more, here are two websites (Rev Deb and Pastor April) where they have a ton of non-dem readings:

We are doing two non-denom readings too- one is the Dali Lama reading on Pastor April's site- and I have been hunting for one that fits us.

I am SERIOUSLY considering using the SATC one, you are so clever! I have been obsessed with SATC since the first episode aired and own every season on dvd. In fact, when I explain my relationship to people, I always quote Charlotte talking about Harry, about how she fell in love with Harry when she stopped having such a narrow idea of what love would look like.

If I do use the SATC quote- Please don't be mad at me for stealing your brilliant idea. =)

Formally, lol, no. I mostly lurk and post once in a blue moon. If it wasn't for these boards, I never would have found our ceremony spot (OWG), officiant or known anything about anything! I was so clueless about wedding stuff, but I am learning from reading these boards like a geek.

Something tells me LIW & wedding obsession is about to overtake my life, lol
