My fiance and I are both atheists, and don't feel comfortable using a reverend, minister, etc. for our ceremony, even if no religious references at all would be made. We were interested in finding a judge, maybe a retired judge, to do our ceremony. Does anyone have any recommendations for us?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Non-Religious Officiant Needed!
i got married by a judge durring our civil ceremony. i'm sure if you call your local city hall they can direct you to a judge that can come out and marry you.

I feel the same way, but I don't care who we use as long as the ceremony isn't forced to be religious.
We are athiests as well, well he is more than I am but I have my own issues with religion, and we are using Rev. Jerra Juliana from the Historical Chapel. I told her what we wanted, and it's more of a spiritual ceremony more than anything. I found my own vows and tweaked some of what I have been given from other ministers while searching for someone this past year, and I came up with something that is just full of love , and basically about caring for each other for years to come. There is nothing religious about it, and I think its very nice. If you even want me to send you what I have for the ceremony, I will.
If you want I can give you her number. The Historical Chapel is non denominational just in case you wanted to check them out. :)

Check out NY Marriages - a vendor here - the guy is Minister Keith Gugliuzzi. Very nice guy, young (36) with kids - he can do completely civil ceremonies.
