Non-slip aisle runners?

So how important is it to get an non-slip aisle runner?

How do I make it non-slip?

Re: Non-slip aisle runners?

I have decided that I will do one of 2 things:

either----

1. not have an aisle runner at all. I don't want anyone to slip and I am afraid that it will not look good if it wrinkles up. Also, my mom pointed out that if I have a white aisle runner, it will be difficult to see my train in the photos. So now I think it may look best without any runner.

OR

2. If I have a runner, I will be using carpet. My dad is in the carpet business (retired, though) and he has already measured the aisle at my hall.

I was going to make a nonslip runner, but I broke down and I ordered a plain ivory one for aisle with style.com

I'm going to personalize it myself.

Oh, I only got a nonslip runner because that is the only one my church would allow. I thought about buying fabric and maybe spraying some antislip adhesive on it, but I would need something that would not stick to the church's floor.
