Not into the whole big poofy dress, long rain etc. Even for my first wedding..it was never really 'me' . I found an awesome beautiful elegant wedding gown that makes me feel so comfortable and pretty but without the big skirt and long train... anyone else doing this? not only does it make me feel much more comfortable, it saved me tons of money. paying myself so that is indeed a factor. Will this negatively effect pictures??? any thoughts?

I don't think so! Do you have a picture you can post?

Re: Non-Traditional dress
I don't think so. Just because something is not traditional doesn't mean it's any less beautiful.

Re: Non-Traditional dress
Our friends got married last fall and the bride wore this:
Not really a traditional wedding gown, but she still looked like a beautiful bride.

Re: Non-Traditional dress
thanks for the input!!! do you think it would still be okay if its an INSIDE wedding..although the aisle is VERY short... and I am having my BM wear all black dresses...should i have them wear floor length or tea length??

Re: Non-Traditional dress
i don't think you can go wrong with either. i personally prefer long dresses for BM's but it all depends on the 'feel' you're going for! post some pics of what you're thinking about and we'll be able to give you better feedback, too.

Re: Non-Traditional dress
I don't think it will ruin the pictures. It isn't traditional but it can still be beautiful.
