We have a DJ for our ceremony (at RH), and want to be different with the music...
This is what I know so far: BMs walk down to Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Hawaiin version from 50 1st Dates) I'm walking down to an instrumental version of Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles.
But, I'm stumped beyond that......Anyone else using a DJ or going the non-traditional route, what are you using?
I need songs for the Prelude, Grandparents and mom being seated, and for the Recessional....

I'm in the same boat, I want non-traditional music too, but I've been stumped lately.

Re: Non-Traditional / Non-Classical Ceremony Music
Our wedding favor is a CD, so we are having the DJ play songs from the CD for the prelude music. That includes songs from REM, Bright Eyes, David Gray, the Postal Service, Ben Folds, the Beatles, Dave Matthews and Death Cab for Cutie.
We are also doing All You Need is Love for our recessional!

Re: Non-Traditional / Non-Classical Ceremony Music
We did one song for grandparents, parents, bp - everyone but me & my parents - Canon in D. I know, not non-traditional but I've always loved it.
I walked down to Somebody by Depeche Mode.
Our recessional was This Will Be by Natalie Cole - loved it!!

We used 'Beautiful Day' by U2 for the recessional. Everyone loved it. Had the DJ cue it to the first chorus, not the beginning, so when the rabbi presented us, 'It's a beautiful day!...' And it was.

The BP is walking to You by Jesse Powell
I don't know what I am walking to yet.
the Recessional will be 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours' by Stevie Wonder

GREAT SONG. I wanted that for our 1st dance but I was afraid I'd bawl my eyes out.
I walked down to God Only Knows by the Beach Boys played by a string trio (Cappricio Ensemble - they were great!)
