my sister just had me CRACKING up... she kept asking me why i was wearing brown shoes. who else isn't wearing white/ivory shoes. i totally am in love with not wearing white/ivory shoes and i am MORE in love with my shoes. FH asked me last night too as i was walking around in them, 'you're wearing brown shoes??' and i said, yes, i'm not wearing a white dress - let's be serious - so i don't want to wear ivory shoes.
anyone else get some cr@p for it?

My dress is white but i was thinking of wearing the same color shoes as my bridesmaids dresses which is Periwinkle blue. Ill probably get slack for it from my mother but whatever

lol the shoes are a size 7
its weird but nobody bothered me about it, not one comment infact i had the opposite reaction from everyone i knew, they all liked the idea. Not like it would've mattered to tell you the truth lol i wouldve still done what i wanted to do and nothing wouldve changed my mind. If they wouldve loved white/ivory shoes so much i wouldve told them they can wear it then lol. Or like dh always says, i never listen to what others tell me to do and if somebody tells me something to do, i purposely wont do it just bc of that lol, he exaggerates but some truth to it

I like that idea - my colors are orange and brown I think I'll opt for orange just for the shock value.

Funny you mentioned that- Monday-Sitting w/ my girlfriends at the coffee shop after dropping kids off at school- stressing that i couldn't find blue shoes.. They looked at me like i had 10 freakin heads..
@ seconds later- They were like.. WE WANT BLUE SHOES TOO to represent you..dumbbutts!!
But i did get my shoes- Espo inspired me with her beautiful ones...I just got a much much MUCH cheaper version.. $43 bucks to be exact at Davids Bridal..LOL
I don't have the finished product yet Have to wait about 2 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that i picked the right blue..

I felt the exact same way- I did not want to get them dyed for fear my toes would turn blue.. But that's what i ended up doing.. You should check Davids Bridal- the color blue i picked was called Oasis.. Its in the hot teal family

I wanted to have gold shoes but when i told a coworker of mine she laughed at me. So i guess i'll stick with ivory also.
I wore gold shoes! I think a different color is a great idea! No one is really going to see them unless you lift your dress anyway!

I am going with ivory, but my photographer has the cutest pic of a bride with her red shoes peaking out. If I had red bm dresses (or pink) then I would have considered a color, but not pool blue. My BMs don't even want pool blue shoes.

I am wearing ivory for the ceremony, but will probably change into these at the reception. (The red ones) The wizard of oz is my fav. movie, and when I was little I used to tell people my name was dorothy, and my mom would have to go back and tell them that it's grace Me and my mom will be dancing to some where over the rainbow, so I think these will be perfect!
