NonWedding ?-Has anyone ever had knockdown done to their ceilings?
Just wondering how much mess it will cause tomorrow?

Huge Mess! I hate to say it but it can be very bad. I've lived through it twice this year. Once in my co-op and last month renovating the bathroom in fi's house (yes, mid -holiday ).
All I can tell you is that the actual knocking down is not as bad as once the walls/ceilings go back up. Knocking down you get big chunks that are easy to pick up. However, once you start having the spackle and sanding work - ugh! Cover everything that you can in plastic! Close all doors that do not need to be used and tape them over with the plastic as well. The sanded spackle is super fine and a mess to clean up. whew!
