Anyone live on the North Fork? How are the roads out there? I am supposed to go to Greenport this weekend. After the last big snow in December (we were out there then) the roads were lousey for a few days.
Is is worth going out there Saturday?

I think by Saturday the main roads should be pretty clear, but be aware some of the side roads might not be plowed well.

I'll be out there Saturday too Cecila!!! My in-laws live in Southold and said it wasn't that bad...its just some back roads but the Main Road and North Road are good.

I am kinda worried about the road we are on. That last storm it took 2 days before they plowed. How many inches did they get out there?

yea, my in laws are a private road so they have to pay someone to come down there and plow. i think he said they only got 9 or 10inches, not 100% on that...but i know he said it wasn't nearly as bad as last time.

Last time was real bad. We had decided to take 48 and we got halfway to Riverhead and the road was closed. We had to turn around. It was horrible driving
