North Ritz Brides

I have an update! The outdoor furniture has arrived. I am alittle disappointed that it is plastic, I thought it would be iron. It looks like iron until you feel them! The gazebo is built and standing. The grounds look great! Lots of stuff was added from the last time I was there. How exciting!!!

HI, I am very curious about this place. Do you know what the price is for a Saturday night in July or Aug? Thanks.

Re: North Ritz Brides - Fairfield Inn

My FI and I went on a hotel search a couple months ago. So I have lots of info for you. Most of the hotels in the are are over-priced (PS none would book or give pricing over a year in advance). Many were $200+. I was looking for something more reasonable.

The Fairfield Inn is about $130/night. I thought it was overpriced for so little. There is no restaurant or bar or anything. (I have stayed there before and the hotel in nothing special.) One person there said they do not offer a group discount either. But then another person said they may if you talk to the manager. I was never able to touch base with her.

I am having my guests stay at the Holiday Inn in Plainview (I think) rather than the Fairfield Inn. It is about a 5-7 minute drive and I plan on paying for some kind of shuttle service (I haven't looked into this yet.) There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The regular price is about $135/night but they do offer a group rate of $109. You can hold as little as 10 rooms at the discounted rate. Just ask to speak with the person in charge of groups.

Hope this helps.

bridetobe - thanks so much for your response!

Thanks for your opinion...I will definitely check it out and speak to the manager for a good price! I'm disappointed it's not what I had expected from your description...but let's see! The Fairfield Inn was so conveneint being that it was right around the corner!

My second choice was Residence Inn...also in Plainview. Any comments on it? I know about the Holiday Inn as well. I need a good suite or two for the bridal party. They have to be nice!!!

I guess I will call for all three hotels. But the Fairfield Inn said they couldn't give me any prices b/c the reception is 7 months away.

that shuttle service sounds like a great idea!

Thanks again!

Re: North Ritz Brides - Fairfield Inn

I think the residence inn was about $200+/night. I can't really remember. It seemed very nice. If it was cheaper, I would have booked with them. I just think that more people will stay overnight if the price is right (at least for my group because most people are kind of local anyway ...most people would only stay overnight so they could party). Weddings can be expensive enough so I did not want to make the hotel too much money.

We searched the internet and drove around until we found places. We probably looked at 5-6 hotels. My wedding was about 6-7 months away when we called and they were able to give us prices. I am surprised by Fairfield's response. I would call again and say you want to speak with someone about blocking a bunch of rooms for a wedding. I know I got mixed answers when I just asked the people at the reservation desk. Also, most of the people who do the room blocking work M-F, 9 to 5.

I agree that the Fairfield Inn is the most convenient. When I stayed there it was 2 years ago and I remember only payin $109/night. It was for a wedding.
