Does anyone know what bakery that the NRC uses for wedding cakes? I'm debating whether or not to use the one that they provide or buy one seperately. I want something different and I'm not sure if they can accomodate that.
What was everyone's experience with this? TIA!

Yup..They do their own, and they are fabulous...They are definately the place that will make it a point to go out of their way to accomate what you want...Just be specific and bring in pics

They don't do fondant, only whipped cream or buttercream icing. Any flavor of cake you want and any kind of filling. We had a simple yellow cake with chocolate mousse filling and whipped cream icing. My florist decorated the cake with flowers.

I LOVE the way fondant looks but from what I hear, it doesn't taste all that great! Whipped/Buttercream will work for me!

Oh god I think its gross too lol We've been to a few weddings where fondant was used. its just pure sugar and i feel it ruins the cake. But it IS GORGEOUS looking

I got married at the NRC in May and I chose to get my cake from an outside bakery because I wasn't impressed w/ the cakes they offered and I wanted something very specific. Since I went w/ an outside bakery the NR was very accommodating in adding in some extra goodies to make up for the cake. Anyone having their reception there will be very very happy.
