I just wanted to dispel a little rumor that I heard. I met with Stefan's and Pedestals, and each florist said that they thought that NRC was leaving the tulle / material hanging from the ceiling permanently now. I just called North Ritz, and this is not true (sadly). The florists said that they had heard it from other brides, so i just wanted to let you know that it's not true! If you saw it, it was probably set up for another event.

Thanks for the heads up. Yea, I heard the rumor but knew it was false when Nadine said that the Tulle for the ceilings were strictly done when you used in house vendors.

I didn't see the tulle...was it in the reception room? Do u request the tulle from the florist? I booked w Flower Michele and they told me they were gonna b a house vendor...does this count? Sorry so many questions I have been out of the loop bc I bookd so long ago! TIA!

I know it has to be a house vendor that does it (because they are actually touching the structure of the ceiling), and I've heard it's costly, like an additional $1 - 2k. You can probably call and ask NRC if Flower Michele can do it! If you search the Bride's Review for past NRC brides, you'll see some pictures of it done. It can include hanging candles too. It's really beautiful!

you may be able to have them leave it for your wedding if the bride before you has it done. the bride before us (saturday night) had decorated the gazebo with beautiful flowers, and NRC left it up for us because they were still 95% fresh on Sunday morning. They asked us if we wanted to keep them up, and we said sure since they matched our colors and were all flowers I liked.
It's possible they might be able to do that with the ceiling as well, or you might be able to split the cost with the bride before you.
I didn't really care either way about the ceiling draping so we didn't pay extra for it. Not sure if I would have wanted it if it was free.
