I'm getting married at the North Ritz Club in April, and was thinking of blocking hotel rooms at the Fairfield Inn in Syosset. Did anyone on here who had the same combo also arrange for transportation between the two? I know they are really close to each other, but not necessarily close enough to walk between, especially late at night. If you did, please let me know what you did, and how much it cost.
If you didn't use Fairfield, would you mind sending me FM with your hotel and quote?
Thanks!

Re: north ritz club brides - hotel questions
im using them, the only problem is that they dont have their own shuttle service....the 2 options are going to a shuttle service company or working with a taxi company (they told me the taxi company is usually pretty cheap)

I used the Marriott Residence Inn, off Old Country Road in Plainview. Literally a 10 minute drive. The hotel (as well as the personnel) were great. They have all mini suites or larger. $139 a night for a room block.

My FBIL wedding was at the NRC in 09' and we stayed at the 4 points sheraton in plainview.. it was a perfect distance and was such a nice hotel--the bar was opened late also and it was really nice and a great time!! Dont really remember what the price was though

We used Four Points Sheraton for our hotel block - $135 per night. and Ditto to the above post... nothing but good things to say about the hotel. They were easy to work with, had the shuttle to and from NRC, bar open late. It worked well for us and our guests.

Re: north ritz club brides - hotel questions
I'm not a NRC bride, but I'm a CHCC bride and we did our hotel block at the Hampton Inn Jericho-Westbury instead.
I worked with their director of group sales whose name is Samantha George.
Hampton Inn gives you the option of passing the cost of the shuttle on to your guests - which is what I decided to do. So regardless of how many people book the hotel, there will be a shuttle to and from the RH. I think they had a maximum of 20 rooms that could be booked.
I think the room rate was $119 or $129 without the shuttle, and $139 with the shuttle. I didn't tell my guests that we're passing the costs on to them, but they could always book another cheaper hotel if they think $139 is too high and don't care about the shuttle.
Also, the $139 price includes hot breakfast each morning. They hand out your OOT bags for your OOT guests when they check in for free and they also put a sign in the lobby the day of your wedding with the time that the shuttle will be leaving/returning so your guests are notified.
There is a pool and gym onsite too. It's only about a year old. You can go there at any time to check out the rooms. It's a little further from CHCC than I would have liked, but it's only like 5 miles away, which isn't far at all - and it's actually closer to NRC than it is to CHCC.
HTH!

I also used the 4 Points Sheraton and they were wonderful to work with. We had a hospitality hour there, the late bar, the shuttle, and brunch the next morning.

Thanks for the very helpful responses so far. Very promising.
One other related question while I'm at it:
Did anyone who got married at NRC also offer shuttle service to/from the LIRR syosset station for those people coming from nyc?
