North Ritz Club Opinion

My FH and I went to check out the North Ritz Club for our wedding in Feb 06. They gave us what we believe is an exceptional deal for a Sunday afternoon affair. That said I would love your input on a few things:

First, has anyone been married inside the North Ritz Club, in the sanctuary downstairs and was it crowded or cramped?

Second, being that we are planning a winter wedding is it still worth having a wedding at the North Ritz Club since we will be unable to use the gardens or should we simply look elsewhere?

Thanks for your help!

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

My son got married at NRC this Oct. It also was a Sunday afternoon. We had 240 attend. They had the ceremony downstairs, which I was afraid wouldn't be large enough. It was a Jewish wedding, so 3 people come down at a time. It was ok. A little crowded. The weather was iffy. We were maybe going to do the ceremony outside, the rain had just stopped a while before and we were afraid it would be too wet. The cocktail hour was outside and in. It had cleared more. It was fantastic. So much food, plenty of tables for all. Everything, and I mean everything was great. We were afraid people wouldn't dance, because of the afternoon, it wasn't true. The dance floor was never anything but packed. I thought it was nightime. Couldn't have been a better wedding, people are still raving. FM me if you have any questions.

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

As far as being winter, it still is so beautiful being able to see out in that cocktail room, which is all glass.

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

We went to a wedding there in 10/03 and it was cold so use fo the gardens was out of the question. I totally think you should do it as the place is beautiful even without te gardens!

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

We checked out NRC recentlyand it's very pretty & one wedding at a time. However, for February just know that the trees will not be filled in to cover the power lines or hide the buildings across the street.

A good photographer can still get nice garden shots and crop these things out though.

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

Im getting married there on March 18th and I loved it and so did my FI. I also liked the elevator for the handicapped. Its hard to find a place that has an elevator that goes everywhere, plus has a handicapped bathroom on the first floor.

I still think you can get some nice pictures there. Plus you are getting married in Feb. and its the winter and i think that gardens no matter where you go will not look that great. As long as the pond is not frozen it will be great. I went to look at the place when the waterfall was frozen and it actually look cool. I would just like the pond not to be frozen so the fountain will be working. Its up to you but i loved it and they do work with you.

Thank you for all the advice, it is really really appreciated as this has turned out to be one of the hardest decision we have to make!

Re: North Ritz Club Opinion

I think you will still have a wonderful beautiful wedding there no matter what time of the year. The inside is just so impressive and exclusive that everyone will be very very pleased. The food alone is exceptional!
I had my wedding ceremony in the garden, but just ask about the specific can and cannots for decorating the downstairs room, to get it how you want.
