North Ritz Club or Sand Castle?

We're torn! I've heard North Ritz may water down their drinks and some iffy things about food (and also some really great reviews!), but Sand Castle seems a little 'bar mitzvah-y'. They both have that modern feel that we love! Experiences with both?

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

I don't have any input on North Ritz but I was at a wedding in December at Sand Castle and it was great. Food was amazing and they offered seconds of everything. The bride said there was not one hiccup at all during the whole night, she loved the service there. I was iffy about it only because of the castle-y decor in the ballroom, but FH thinks I'm too picky about the little things lol. I've heard great things about North ritz too! Good luck!

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

I vote North Ritz... been to many sweet 16s at sand castle and not really a fan of the location of it... although it is gorgeous on the inside and you wouldn't even realize you're on a main road and the food is phenomenal. I don't really think you could go wrong with either choice, but I would go for north ritz just because i feel the location is a little better.

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

I'm having a Winter Wedding so the outside location wasn't a big deal for me. But, SC is extremely accommodating the tasting was out of this world. But, I've never been to North Ritz so I'm sure it's gorgeous as well. GL in your search..

If you are iffy on both halls, maybe they aren't the right one's for you, and you need to look at other halls... :)

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

I think both places are beautiful…I loved North Ritz but I thought their pricing was ridiculous. Sand Castle is owned by the same people as Floral Terrace so I'm assuming that they would be great! However, I agree with Tinydancer - when you find the place that's right for you, you'll know it and it won't be a difficult decision. You still have time, so I wouldn't rush.

I looove the North Ritz, have only been to Sand Castle once a while ago, and have trouble remembering the layout, but the North Ritz is amazing. IMO

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

Never been to Sand Castle but went to a business function at the North Ritz. I thought the setting was ordinary - too close to Jericho Turnpike - not set back like Cresthollow or Woodbury Country Club and all the traffic noise with the view of all the stores across the street was not impressive. Valets were all backed up and cars were lined up down Jericho . Very dangerous.
In my opinion the food was very ordinary - maybe because it was a business function.
I agree - if you are not overly excited about either place than you need to keep looking.
Good luck!!

North Ritz Club or Sand Castle? - Long Island Weddings

went to a wedding last march at North Ritz and had a great time... food was delicious and service was excellent. Haven't been to the Sand Castle for a wedding... always associate it with sweet 16's bc thats all ive ever been there for.

Re: North Ritz Club or Sand Castle?

We picked NRC because of the outside space, food, and service. my FH has been in Sand Castle a few times and doesn't like the place. we were torn between Woodbury Country club and NRC but the last gave us such a good price, that we decided that for our side of the wedding (250) we can 'overlook' a few details - FH hates carpet there.... Recentyl, we attended a charity event at NRC and loved the food & service, so we are happy about the choice. let me know if you have any questions...

I looked at both for our wedding- Sand Castle definitely nicer and I have been to wedding there- had it not been for the price we would have chosen there.
