North Ritz Club--PICS PICS PICS!

Original post by endlessluv429

hey ladies! I went to North Ritz Club tonight to see how it would look to have our ceremony outside! It is sooooo beautiful and FH took lots of pics so I wanted to share-the new fence looks amazing and so does the new furniture outside. Jennie is so amazing-she answered all my questions and they are so easy to work with. Whatever you want, they accomadate you. I want to get married there outside but not in that basement-under any circumstances. Sooo.they said if I arranged for a tent to come be set up in the case of inclement weather--that would be fine! we also stayed and listened to 'ALIVE AND KICKIN' a band that had a showcase there--they were amazing and fun to watch!! OH! I also asked her about the cake and she said you totally pick it out with George or whoever your mairtre'd is before the wedding!!

here are the pics....pay no attention to the quality-we took them on the higest resolution so i really had to lower the quality to be able to post it on here!

It looks great! Did you notice if the fence went around all of the property?

Great Pictures. I do warn you to be very specific and bring pictures about the whole cake thing when it comes to that time if that is a priority to you. When I met with George - it didn't seem like it was open to much discussion beyond basic questions (although they also told me that is a discussion you have on your menu planning day as well) but I also did not push it past his questions much. By that time I could care less about the cake (I had a rough September last year!)

I also booked when it was named Villa Victor - but that was only months after it had taken new ownership and basically the whole roof was ripped off and the place was totally re-done. The place was pretty when I first booked but still under construction (work in progress). By the time I got married the place had undergone so many wonderful changes and gets better everytime I see it!!!!!!!!

I use to hate when I told people it is the old Villa Victor because people kind of gave me this weird stare - I think the old name had a cheesy connotation behind it! (actually once some lady I deal with at work over the phone told me this straight out - after checking to see how much it changed by going to the website I sent her!) I always felt the need to explain to people who knew it was VV that it has changed a lot! LOL!

Endlesslove-I was there last night too, maybe we saw eachother! I was giving my final payment for our wedding THIS SATURDAY!!!
Yes, everything looks wonderful! We usually deal with Ida but met with Jenny last night and she was great! Its so cute, my parents are just so excited...My dad keeps saying this will be 'a wonderful affair.' Who says affair anymore? Too cute!

Niecey-LOL!! Everytime someone asks me where the reception is I say the North Ritz Club. Then they usually look at me with a blank stare and I have to say 'you know, the old Villa Victor's' and then they go 'oohhhhh...'. The place is booked solid, but I guess they still don't have that immediate recognition that some other catering places have when you hear their names. But who cares, the place is beautiful, the owner's and staff are awesome, and I fell lucky to be having my wedding there!! I can't wait! 3 DAYS!!!

Re: North Ritz Club--PICS PICS PICS!

Glad everyone likes the pics! Thanks for the support about the tent!! Does anyone know where I can get a really nice classy tent? I guess I'll need one where the sides come down too just in case? I

am soooo excited--although this changes EVERYTHING! The limos, flowers, video, photo!! I did want longer than a 30 minute ceremony though so they told me I Could start it @ 12 as long as the cocktails start @ 1.

Niecey-thank you for the cake advice. I'm not overly picky about it-I just want plain but I am set on what type of stacked cake I want! I know what you guys mean about telling people 'The old Villa Victor' I always say 'They ripped it down and totally redid it--it's BRAND NEW!' LOL Jennie told me last night that the architect is the same as from the Glen Island Harbor club--which is beautiful!

Ali--CONGRATS!! You are going to have a BEAUTIFUL day-the weather is supossed to be great! I wonder if I Saw you-what time were you there? I was there about 7:30/7:45--how cool! maybe we saw each other and didn't even know it!

I will keep you guys updated on what happens! We still have awhile to decide, I just want to have it set-I HATE not knowing where to have our ceremony!!

LOL Niecey I do the same thing. When people ask where I am getting married and I tell them North Ritz Club, most people aren't familiar with it and I know if I just said it is where Villa Victor once was they would know it, but I refuse! I feel like they are going to think it is a cheesy place. If I do say it is where Villa Victor used to be I have to go into this long explanation of how it is completely different now and it's undergone a multi-million dollar renovation and blah blah blah.

I USED A GREAT TENT COMPANY FOR MY SON'S ENGAGEMENT PARTY. THE TENT WAS NEW AND BEAUTIFUL, AND THEIR WINDOWS ARE SO PRETTY. THEY HAVE A WEBSITE. THE COMPANY IS ALL AMERICAN TENT COMPANY. ASK FOR GINA. SHE IS WHO WE USED. 631-484-4000.
MY SON IS ALSO GETTING MARRIED AT THE NRC AND WE NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT.
