So super stressed about this whole planning thing - I am very close to eloping in Hawaii!
After looking at 12 places in 2 days, I have narrowed it down to Fox Hollow and North Ritz Club - my top choice was actually Crescent Club (my family lives in Bayville) but it's going to be too expensive - would rather put the extra money toward something else.
Here's the deal - Fox Hollow has my date, North Ritz has Sundays only. FH's family lives all over and most of our friends are from out of town, so Sat is easier, but Sun is do-able.
Will probably have between 140 - 160 people. Am totally undecided...any advice?
Thanks!

Re: North Ritz/Fox Hollow or Start Over?
I havent been to a wedding at North Ritz Club, but our wedding was at the Fox Hollow, and in my opinion, you really cant go wrong there. People are still talking about how great the food was, the decor, and how attentive the staff was on our wedding day.
We were in the winter garden pavillion if you want to see pictures of it all decorated

Both are great, but I'm obviously biased towards NRC. They were absolutely phenomenal to work with and went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we could've wanted. Check out my review for more details, or FM me if you want more info.

I'm bias towards Fox Hollow since my own wedding was there and everything was amazing. However I have never heard a bad thing about North Ritz. Both are beautiful and have a wonderful atmosphere.

Don't settle. If you confused, maybe look at a few other places? However, if Fox Hollow has your date, why hold back?

Do you have to have that date? Perhaps you can look into another date? I heard the NRC is amazing... never went to Fox Hollow, sorry, but I've heard a lot about it. You really can't go wrong with those two!

Re: North Ritz/Fox Hollow or Start Over?
I met with both FH and NRC and we ultimately picked NRC because we liked that it was one event at a time, we liked their outdoor area better, and they threw more things in than FH did.
If you have to, make a list of what things are most important to you, and let that help you decide. Those people who want to be there for your special day will make it there no matter what day of the week it is.

Re: North Ritz/Fox Hollow or Start Over?
My brother got married at the North Ritz in a SUnday afternoon last summer. The place is spectacular. The food was amazing, the grounds are absoltely beautiful and the staff was so helpful. It was one of the best weddings I have been to. I can email you pics from his wedding.

Re: North Ritz/Fox Hollow or Start Over?
I think they ar eboth really nice places. I dont think you could go wrong with either. Our reception was at the fabulous Fox Hollow. honestly people still say how great our wedding was. Especially the food and the service. Which makes me so happy. To be honest everyone we dealt with regarding the wedding at The Fox were super nice & so helpful. Our wedding was on a Saturday & the reception was at 7pm. We were in The Garden Terrace room & my CH was in the Briar Fox. I LOVED the Garden Terrace. It was just a great room a great place. I have no complaints at all. We never saw or even knew the other wedding was going on at ll. They know how to run it. The menu we had was off the hook! We had the highest menu options they gave. Tons of food which was all fantastic!!!! My family & Dh's family are very italian & very picky & they all raved! We couldnt have had a better day. Dh & I were overjoyed with it all. The free Suite was fantastic too. The hotel is gorgeous. Good luck

ha - yeah - felt I needed to book soon and don't have all that much time off, so just went all in.
Not sure if I should visit a few again to just to make sure - I ran through most of them pretty quickly...

if you're stuck between the 2, see who offers more free stuff

NRC will give you tons of free stuff and upgrades
free VH, incl extra hour extra CH stations and discounts on seafood bar, menu upgrades
IMO, NRC wins over Fox Hollow
they are one wedding at a time and fairly new, I think only 5 years old?

ITA with this. You might want to look into Crest Hollow if you don't care about the one wedding at a time thing. They gave us a better price than NRC, and b/c they do 2 or 3 weddings at a time, there is a better chance that your date is still open.
is there any one thing in particular you really care about? food, ambiance, one wedding at a time, ceremony site, etc.?

Re: North Ritz/Fox Hollow or Start Over?
Hmmm well I've never been to NRC, so I can't really give a comparison between the two. However, I stay make a pro and con list, and see which one comes out on top!
