Thinking back to when you first joined LIW........
What did you think when you saw people who had thousands of posts?

I thought 'OMG, I feel lilke I will never have that many. They all know eachother and I feel like such a newbie!!'

Now I look at the new people and realize I have thousands of posts and wonder what they are thinking.

I was obessesing about the Swan Club when I first started!!!! I thought I would never break 1,000

As you can see...I exceeded my expectations!

I thought that everyone knew each other and that to get over 1000 you had to post constantly - I was wrong

Yea, its weird to see how our priorties have changed...
Last winter, it was all about halls and booking everything.
Now we are talking about sending invites and dress fittings, YIKES!! Its scary how fast the time goes!

I can't believe it! I feel like I just got engaged!!

I remember when I first joined I felt so intimidated because everyone was talking about photographers and florists, and I still needed to pick a date and a hall! I felt like I would never finish everything

That is so funny! My first one was on vineyard weddings (which FH vetoed subsequently) and my second was on makeup (what was I thinking? I didn't have a hall or a date and I was posting about makeup )

I'm glad you understand my demented humor and outlook on life.

I get nostalgic reading your board, watching your friendships form and seeing you ladies go thru all the planning 'stages'. Savor every moment, treasure the LIW girls- they are your honorary bridesmaids. No one will understand you better than other brides.

Hi everyone!
This is my first post, I can't wait to start getting to know all of you.
My name is Lauren, my FH name is Travis. We met online in Sept. 2003, and had our first date on Nov. 16 2003 at the museum of Natural History.
We got engaged on Dec. 10 2004, it was perfect. We haven't known each other for as long as a lot of you, but we knew when we met we were meant to be together.
I am a teacher, Travis is an audio engineer. We are in the search of finding a hall, will hopefully be decided this weekend, we have a few more places to check out, and then we will be able to have a definite date, I am very excited about that!!

Yea, I was totally blown away but all the girls with so many posts!! I never thought I'd get that many.

I was WOWed by how many girls seemed to know each other already, I'm glad I stuck around to get to know you girls too!!

I didn't even feel like a 'real' bride until I had my hall, that's when I started posting, after we booked and had a definite date.

Lol, I never introduced myself either. Just started dropping my 2 cents everywhere!!
