not a happy camper right now...

i just found out that starting in April one of my best friends is going on a 3 year tour of the middle east (she's in the Marines)...

i swear, i feel like i'm going to puke thinking about what might happen to her...

And my MOH (who told me) said that she just ordered my bridal shower gift and that she was getting all excited about coming to my shower, and probably my wedding (she thought she would be stationed in the US for a while)... And I know it's not the end of the world that she won't make it, but just knowing that something could happen to her is scaring the sh!t out of me...

I can't deal with this... i finally got my brother back safe (he just ended 6 years with the navy) and now my friend has to go over there.

this sucks.

I know. This is a scary time. Thank your friend for fighting for our country.

that's what makes it so hard... i think maybe i could feel better about it if she was going to fight for something that i believed in... but i just can't... and i hate the idea of her being in danger for a reason that just doesn't seem like a good one....

thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone... i'm still in a funk though, have a feeling i will be for a while longer, even though she's technically not going off for a few more months.

but let me tell you, depression does wonders for weight loss... i haven't felt like eating a thing since i found out....
