I am looking to hire someone just to shoot raw footage of our day and then give us the tape. My FH and I would then like to edit our own video/DVD. Does anyone know of anyone who would do this? If so, prices?

We hired Dave from High Energy Entertainment. We're getting digital raw footage for $700.00. We're planning on editing our own tapes too!

My FH is a website developer so he edits footage on his computer all the time-you can definitely buy software for either a pc or a mac to do digital editing and it`s not too difficult. Please let me know if you need anything else!

I want to make mine funky especially since I hate looking at myself in videos. This is the reason I was so against doing it but with family not being able to attend the wedding b/c they are over seas, this is the best way for them to experience it.

Well, I asked my FH and he gave me a giant list of programs you can use. If you`d like, I can forward it to you via email since it`s huge!
I`m a big fan of having everything captured and making different tapes for different people-I think it`s a great way to do it!

It looks a little more pricier than I thought. I might just deal with it and have a videographer do all the work for me instead. Although I do have web developer friends. I will have to ask them about this.
