I like the invitations but they aren't my favorite. There was a $500 difference between tham and another one and I knew we could use the money elsewhere (my choice not FH). I always said that I wouldn't waste a lot of money on invites because everyone just throws them out. Did anyone else get something they weren't crazy about?

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
I PLAN on using the cheapest invitations, but I am sure I will not feel that way when it comes to it, you really do have to KEEP IN MIND that they will be thrown away. I was even thinking of going to Staples for my invitiations, I heard they sell 30 for like $50...and sometimes at the online stores the RSVP's are extra...that's what I have heard anyway. Think of what is most important to you, invitations or a spending extra on photos or something.

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
I was devastated when my invitations arrived. They were TERRIBLE! The execution was a mess and the paper was warped. I sent them back, but ended up having to get the same style invitation but with different materials, sight unseen. I'm waiting for the new ones to be delivered later this week. I'm really hoping I like them more!

I got something that I wasn't totally crazy about. I liked them, they did their job. I couldn't justify spending $1500 on the ones that I loved. People throw them away.

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
I didn't want to spend a lot of money on invites, and so I went with something really simple. That said, I absolutely LOVED my invitations. I had found an invitation at Crane's that would've cost me big $$...Since I was unwilling to spend that kind of money for invites, I kept looking and found identical invitations for less than 1/4 of the price.
If you're not happy, keep looking, but don't sweat it...Everyone throws them out anyway.

People will look at your invitations twice, three times tops before they go in the garbage. I think you were right in putting that money elsewhere. Don't even sweat it.

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
originally i wanted to do pocketfolds with different colors and wanted to make my own direction cards, etc. but then i got a quote on how much they would be and realized that I was the only one that cared about them. so i went the more low key and affordable route. i don't regret it since i've gotten sooo many compliments on them!

LOL. I actually got them at the Wedding Center in Commack. I had to look through a lot of cheesy invites to find the one I really liked.

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
I'm having the hardest time with invitations too! Argh so many styles and I just wanna get it over with!
Been looking for them for weeks now! Today I came across this invitation book that has tons of very nice choices all for $120-150 for 100 pieces, and they are so lovely looking with heavy materials too!
Has anyone heard of Koza Invitations, now i gotta find a vendor that sells them for cheaper than the retail store, hehe!!!

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
Don't stress over it. Most people toss the invites and barely notice them.
Save the $$ for other things, believe me expenses keep popping up the closer you get to the wedding. I am glad i kept my invites to under $500.

Re: Not Crazy About My Invitations
I agree with the other brides in this thread. Invites were not something I chose to spend a significant amount of the budget on.
I have seen some gorgeous invites that I know cost over $1000 and I even loved some that would have cost me this much, but we had to pick and choose where to spend.
I just went the simple route, got them on the costco website through einvite.com and spent less than $250 for 120 invties. They are 7 x 7 ivory squares with a simple border and I am very happy with them.
