Re: not enough space
We put our bed on these rises SO we could store underneath. I also store all my clothes and linens that I don't need for this season in space saver bags that you suck the air out of.

Re: not enough space
In the Ikea catalog, there are a lot of space saving ideas...even if you don't buy stuff from there, it might help you to brainstorm?

Re: not enough space
The only thing I can suggest to you is to try to go through your stuff and throw as much out that you dont need, sell it on ebay, or give stuff away on freecycle.org.

We just did this too. (And with my 20 inch mattress, I now feel like the princess and the pea )
You can also store your off-season clothing with your drycleaner. The storage is free and then you just pay for the cleaning.

Re: not enough space
I store off season blankets and clothes and towels in those space saver bags that you vacuum the air from. IT makes a HUGE difference
Any bags - purses, totes, duffels, suitcases get stored inside eachother.
I use lots of 'back of the door' racks.
I have created extra shelves under the sinks and in cabinets to be able to use the unused space over what is stored on the bottom level.
the poker table, snack tables, folding chairs (very narrow things get stored under/behind couches.
ETA - Try to get input from LIW'ers that live in Levittown, I've seen some very creative storage ideas in the Levitt houses that don't have basements.

Thanks Patti08, I'm gonna check out space savers. Here's a thought we're in a apt, you have a house, I'm assuming you have a yard. What about getting storange sheds, just a thought.
