Instead.....we are going to Puerto Rico in Feb. and decided to put the money we would have spent on gifts towards it. We both need a vacation, with cancelling our reception, and other things going on at our jobs etc. Although I would love a nice pair or earrings or something like that, a few days in the sun will definately be worth it.

oOo can I come?!? When we went on a cruise there was a storm in Puerto Rico so we didn't get to goI'm dying to see PR.
FH and I talked about putting the money towards a vacation instead of gits but I don't know what happened to that idea?!!? lolz
THts wat we r doin too , we are going on a cruise!!!
we did the same thing--booked a trip for to turks & caicos for feb, which we could only afford by sacrificing xmas presents if we hoped to stay on schedule for the wedding AND which was ABSOLUTELY necessary to remaining sane through another NY winter (we've learned this about ourselves). in general, we pared down holiday spending a lot this year.
That is worth it!!! You two will have so much fun!
