I ordered samples yesterday. Once they arrive, I will give more details.
I ordered a 7 x 7 pocketfold sample of 'Little Black Dress' from the signature collection, the grape 'Endless Possibilities' sample and a 'Story Book' sample.

Got my sample invite today. I missed the UPS delivery while in VA part of last week so I had it redirected to my job.
I did not get the 7 X 7 invite that I ordered but the Story Book sample and Endless possibilites sample from Not From A box (www.notfromabox.com) and nice. My assistant loves the story book one - ivory and navy blue with an ivory ribbon holding in the reception card, RSVP & envelope. There is a small card pasted on the front with the bride/grooms initials and wedding date. it is not the seal though.
The endless possibilites invite is nice too - i have grape. It is a purple card with ivory writing and it is pasted to a larger almost ivory card (layered look). The card stock is ribbed.
Both invites are heavy card stock - not flimsy at all.

I just got some samples from them. They were nice, but I am looking for paper that is thicker.

I think Crane ? or maybe Rexcraft ? has the thicker invites of all the samples I have received.

I also really liked the things I saw on their website and thought about ordering a sampe (even though they're $10!!) but I talked to my wedding planner and she did mention that their paper was on the flimsy side. Too bad though--I really like a lot of their designs.

Same here. I ordered samples and was pretty disappointed with the outcome

No, they are not flimsy. Sorry to give that impression. I just found one single panel Rexcraft invite (with a pearlized border) to be VERY thick. It's No KF10675 Rexcraft.
Not from a Box paper is thick as well - just not as thick as this particular Rexcraft invite. The Not from a Box samples are almost like corrogated cardboard - in the sense taht they have some visible texture. Comparing them side by side - the Rexcraft is thicker.
I attached the Endless possibilities and you can see the texture.
The Story Book invite is attached. The ivory ribbon pictured is the back of the invite and the intials/date card is pasted to the front. The ribbon holds everything together.
The layered side of the story book invite (witht he invite pasted inside) is about as thick as the Rexcraft (heavy cardboard) but standing alone, the navy cover for the Story book invite is not as thick - more like business card thickness.
if you like those designs but want a little bit more - check out funny buggy
Perfectpair is using them
They can do more types of prinitng so they use better paper.
I just started working on my design - so i don't know how it will come out - but i think i am boing to take a trip their next week because it is only an hour away in Mass - if i go i will report what other stuff they have

Great site - funnybuggy.com has some cool stuff - very similar to what I saw on notfrom a box but with the purple I want.
