rsvp date is 2 days away and I'm 30 people under my gurantee and about 60 under what I expected or had in my head. So upset that we will have to shell out so much money for people that won't be there. I wanna scream.

do you still have a lot of people that you haven't heard from yet, or just a lot of no's?
It's totally possible that some yeses got lost in the mail, etc, if you're missing responses!
Also, a lot of halls will let you upgrade things to make up for the price difference... it will be okay! good luck!

oh! Then you should definitely make your quota!
I think they often get lost in the mail, to be honest, as they're so tiny... we've also had a few people not even receive their invitations, and honestly, sometimes people just forget. Start making some phone calls (and delegate them... if it's your parents guest have them call, etc), you'll be up to your quota in no time.

you will make your minimum. I hated waiting for people to respond. You have to just call. I am so sorry. I remember getting so stressed over the same thing. Good Luck
