Not good.

I found out yesterday that I will be losing my job in June due to the decrease in our enrollment in my school. This came as a shock and I'm devastated by it. I know there are massive teachers looking for jobs but if anyone hears of anything opening up in an elementary school. Please keep me in mind.

So did I!!! What year did you graduate???

I figured I would ask because I just know they let a bunch of teachers go(pending a budget vote) and are closing Bower.

i'm sorry about your job. that def s ucks. i know finding a teaching job is not easy. i teach in a catholic school and i know a lot of schools are closing, but fortunately for me, right now, my school is doing well. if i hear of any openings, i will let you know. (if you are interested in a catholic school)

I feel your pain!! I have been looking for a teaching job for 4 years now...can't find anything permanent on LI in elementary ed!! Hopefully things will turn around soon for all of us!
