Not in the bridal party, but still going to the Bacholerette?
Hey Ladies, I have a dilemma. A good friend of mine is getting married in September, and I am not in her bridal party. But I did receive an invite to her Bacholerette in August (a weekend in Ocean City). I'm not sure if just the BP is going, should I go anyway? I mean I've gone out for a friends Bachelorette party, but not GONE away, and ummm well, you know, moneys tight. What would you do?

I wouldnt go because you're not in the BP. I hope my other friends come out for my bachelorette pary. But if the money is an issue, i'd make that the reason you dont go.

I hope mine do as well even though they're not in the BP. I just thought maybe it was an unwritten rule. Thanks.

you should still go. A lot of times it's not only the bp going out to celebrate, other girls are invited too

yeah there is no rule that only girls in a bp can go...if you want to go then go, plus you are invited so definitely don't feel weird...if its about money then that is different

That is so wierd. I have been to many bacholerette parties, where I wasn't in the BP, that were for a night out or something. But i never went to one that was away. how can you be expected to pay to go away with them. I wouldn't go.

I recv'd an invite to my cousins Shower & BP in today's mail. I am not in her bridal party, but I 'm going to go to the BP anyway. It's nothing crazy (my guess is that party will happen in Vegas when we're there for the wedding) A day on the north fork visiting 5 vinyards, and having lunch...

If you want to go you should go. I'm going to a bach party in New Orleans where I am not in the bridal paerty. There are 17 of us going, she's a great friend and i know it will be a fun time, I didn't even think twice about going!

If you want to go and have the cash than go for it... the more the merrier I say... plus you were invited, so you shouldn't feel uncomfortable.
I hope there are people at my bach party that aren't in my BP, I have friends taht I didn't ask to be a BM, but I'd still like to celebrate with them.

I was invited to a bach party and I wasn't in the BP... I showed up to the girls house wearing an aqua tank top - ALL the other girls were wearing black t-shirts that said BM. Needless to say, I borrowed a black shirt and went partying. It was so much fun!
Go, go, go, go!!

I am in a similar situation. I am either going or not going based on when, where and how expensive. Hope that helps.
