i know i already posted about my trials in BHB and 06. most of the 06'ers said it need improvement. which i agree with - i liked it but didn't LOVE it. i want to feel like a princess that day... and i wasn't feeling my BEST. anyway, i guess i'm just looking for some advice/guidance. i wasn't planning on getting another trial done... i honestly can't afford it. so i was going to wing it the day of... as far as the makup... i like how she did the shadow but i think i can do a better job on myself as far as eyeliner goes. my photgrapher said it really popped in our e-photos and i did love how my makeup looked. i just don't think my eyes pop as much with what she did. i was thinking if i did the liner myself, and she did everything else, maybe it'd be the best of both worlds? also, a few girls said my lipstick didn't really mesh with the eyes... if you look in my album, the first pics of the makup, the lipstick was a very sheer pink. the later pics, it's darker. maybe i should be going with the first one? and as far as hair... it's hard because my hair isn't long. and i don't want to wear it up - i have to wear it up every day at work. the BM with reddish hair looks awesome - but she has way more hair than me to work with... i wish mine could look like that!! i am going to ask her to leave a few strands down like these pics... other than that, i'm not sure what else i can do. i know about the gap in the back in the pics though - she cleared a spot so it'd be easier to put in the veil - i'll be leaving it in all day; we had discussed that first. can anyone help me/guide me? i'll take any and all suggestions. also, did any of you not love your hair/makeup trials? what did you do? all the others came out awesome - so these girls are definitely coming to my house the day of the wedding.
I didn't love the lipstick in the later pictures - I liked the sheerer pink, because your eyes were so dramatic you want to keep your lips really subtle. What about trying a sheer coral instead of pink? Lipstick is easy to change (heck I still haven't found my color yet with 18 days left...) As for your hair (which I love) I have baby fine hair and wanted it thicker, so I did clip in extensions. you can see how they looked in my album. May hair is your length naturally, I think the extensions looked really natural. For me - it made all the difference! Kitty's hair trial

I agree. Try using hair extensions. My friend used them for an updo and she has really fine hair. You couldn't tell at all!
You can also try some fake eyelashes. Not the whole lash just some on the outer corners. It will give your eyes a little more pop!

I think the shadow looks good, but I agree with the suggestion about fake eyelashes. Also, I think the sheer pink lipstick would look better with the grayish eyeshadow.
If you just want something to compare this trial to, I was really happy with the people I used - makeup (Maureen Pedala) and hair person (Claudia Pedala) - and they offer free trials.

The trials are free (at least they were when I was planning) if you go to their studio in NYC. Their prices for day of are a little higher (probably b/c of the free trials), but at that point you know you're using them, so it's better IMO than paying for the trial of someone you aren't sure you want to use. The studio is in the 30s on the east side, so not too bad from Penn Station at all. Here is Maureen's website: www.nyweddingmakeup.com
