So it looks like we aren't going to make the minimum number of guests our hall requires. We will probably be below by about 10 people but I don't have the final number yet.
Did anyone else not meet their minimum??? If so, what did you do?? Do you think it's a good idea to ask the hall if I can include the vendors in my minimum??

We're not going to meet our minimum by about 5-6 people - that's after including our vendors in our minimum. I'm going to talk to the hall and see if they can do anything (i.e. not make us pay for empty chairs) since we never negotiated w/ them up front. If not, I will through a fit until I get my way
Maybe also try to see if you can get anything added in for the 10 people? Dessert? An extra station..etc.

definitely see if they will work with you a bit and throw in some extras like a station or something. Doesn't hurt to ask! I think it's just good business to give you a little something at least so it's not completelely throwing money away

I've also heard of girls telling the venue to wrap the ## of extra amounts up for someone to take home...maybe your parents or siblings? or u guys! haha

Their is always room for negotiation...call you RH and explain the situation. Hopefully they are nice enough to let it slide if not maybe they can upgrade some stuff for you.

At my hall, the vendors count toward the minimum but if you don't meet you minimum, vendors are full price...
I am going to be 20 under at this rate. I already emailed the hall to ask if they'll throw something in
