Not only are men pigs! but they're stupid too!! (sorry guys)
DH is driving me absolutely crazy!!!! His birthday is in a few weeks and the other night on the telephone, his mother asked him what he might like. He had given me a list, so he told her I would send it to her. But, of course we had to have a big discussion before I emailed her because he's very specific and doesn't think she'll be able to get him what he really wants. So, I email her a few suggestions and she writes me back to say that she doesn't think she'll be able to find one of the things and she needs more suggestions. So, frustrated with the fact that he just can't tell his own mother what he wants for his birthday, I emailed her the list. Now he's mad that I sent it because she's sure to get him the wrong thing, which, according to him, is worse than getting him something he doesn't want. But, in the meantime, we've discussed this so much that I'm sure now he knows what I'm getting him, totally ruining my surprise!!! Sorry, had to vent, it's driving me crazy and I just want to be left out of it!!!!

UGH - we're not on a good roll today, are we? If it was a list that he came up with, then what's the problem? Wouldn't the list he made himself have things he wanted on it? AND you're HELPING his poor mother by giving her this list, saving her from hours of endless shopping and frustration at not knowing what to get her son, right? Man, MEN TODAY!!!! :) Again, sorry LIW guys!

Your DH should just tell his mom what he wants or not say a thing and be happy with what he's given!!!
My DH thinks it's weird to even get a present for birthdays after the age of 18. He doens't know too many people that have.
I went and when he told me that. I said 'sorry I don't subscribe to that train of thought!'
But I am not allowed to make any lists. Or be super specific. He says it ruins the 'surprise'.
So I leave alot of catalogs in the bathroom which I have conveninantly tabbed where I see things I like. So far he's been pretty good.
