Ok now that rice throwing is illegal what are your guests throwing after church? And how do they get it? I was at 2 weddings my whole life and the 1st I was 7 (dont remember it and rice was legal then) and the 2nd wasnt at a church.
I am such a rookie!!!

Re: Not rice so...?
rose petals, birdseed, confetti, have your guests blow bubbles.. there are a lot of options these days, since rice is generally not used (or allowed) at a lot of places

Re: Not rice so...?
I'm using the heart shaped rice. it's not really rice.... (at least i don't think it is) safe for birds, crunch under foot so no slippage, biodegradable, dissolves when wet.
got it at Michaels.

I used the bio degradable rice too. They are white hearts and they melt when wet so they won't harm the animals. My ring bearer and my nieces were munching on them waiting for us to get out of the church, they said they tasted like vanilla...lol

That's too cute!
I think some places don't allow bird seed, either b/c it attracts too many birds or b/c things will sprout up.

i was told people could slip on birdseed... thats why some places don't allow it. (and the attracting birds)

Re: Not rice so...?
My church wouldn't allow throwing anything, so I ordered helium balloons, and each guest got one as they left after the ceremony.
