not so good news Update

UPDATE
So after five days of spotting, and 2 days of bleeding, I had a mc yesterday. I knew something was wrong from the second day of spotting so we began to mentally prepare for the worst.

We're upset but very much at peace with it. I can't quite explain it but at peace is the best way. We'll probalby try again once my body gets back to a regular cycle.

I'll keep on visiting to keep on top of all the goings ons.

Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts and prayers. I wish you all the very best in your pregnancies and TTC efforts.

******************************

I had small amount of brown spotting yesteday & minor cramping. Called Dr. today. He told me to come in.

I'd had an u/s on Monday at the 1st prenatal exam. My regular Dr wasn't there, so I saw someone else. He did another u/s, but said I'm small for dates (2mm), closer to 4w than 6w. He took blood, and told me to return on monday if still spotting, and he'd do another blood (beta) and u/s. He couldn't say if it is a mc or not. He said it's 50/50 w/ spotting, but the small for dates was a sign for concern.
Told me to 'try and have a nice weekend'. Right.

The spotting was brown, and now I have light brown/beige creamy fluid not fullblown spotting, but not clear. I have some cramping.
So I'm either having a miscarriage or I implanted late, or he read the us wrong.
Anyone have an experience like this and if so, was it a MC?
Thanks & positive energy please

Karen, I am so sorry to hear this. I do not know what to say, as I don't have any experience with this. Hopefully, it is just a scare and everything is okay. I will pray for your this weekend. Try to rest and not over-exert yourself in anyway.

Re: not so good news

Just wanted to let you know that I had 3 episodes of spotting early in my pregnancy (hardly ever red, very light spotting brown, like the end of my period), beginning week 6. At first my MW just told me to rest and see what happens, then I went in for the beta levels and they doubled. The third episode I was 9 1/2 weeks and went in for an u/s to hear the hb.

This is never easy, so I won't tell you to try and relax. I know how scared you must be, I was. I'll be thinking of you.

(((Hugs)))

Re: not so good news

One of the women I work with had spotting in the beginning and I know her Dr. said that they really worry when the blood is red not brown. Hopefully this is true for you! Stay of your feet and get plenty of rest!

Re: not so good news

I know I dont want to be the one to type this but my friend was pregnant 7 weeks and the baby measured 5weeks. She went back 2 weeks later for another u/s and the baby was still 5 weeks... yes she miscarried. I dont want to make you anymore nervous than you already are with what I just said. Just please stay positive!!!

I have heard that many women have some bleeding during their pregnancy. I hope everything is okay. I am sure you are supposed to stay in bed or at least be very careful.
