A friend of mine is pregnant, not married and due in December. She just told me that she is planning a wedding for October 24th. I feel upset, but at the same time understand. I just feel upset that I have been planning for over 2 years and she comes in 5 months before and takes a date 2 weeks before mine. However, she is having a baby, so I get it, she needs to get married soon. I can't believe I am even feeling upset, because I've always been the first to say you don't own the dates around your wedding people can plan any date they want.

Oh mann....thats a toughy. I think I'd have to agree with you, though. I'd feel kinda weird about it. But like you said, also, I understand because of the baby. Was she dating the dad for a long time and they happen to get pregnant before engagement?

Same thing happened to me...My MOH got preggers and planned her wedding in 2 months. It wasnt as close together and yours was, but its like you are happy for them but at the same time its like you put in all the hard work and have to wait! in my case they were only dating for a few months, and he is a complete douche bag! so it was prob alot harder for me to be happy for them. I love my MOH to death, just wish it didnt have to be the way it turned out for her.

I completely understand.. A 'friend' of mine (family friend) got engaged in January and picked the Saturday before my wedding....after i had been planning for 7 months.....worst part is we have alot of the same guests. I dont care if i sound dumb, it s*cks
Quotes around friend cause she was pretty damn mean to me when I got engaged. I gues it was jelousy.

It kinda s*kcs when that happens....FH's brother and my friend (they are engaged) planned their wedding for 3 weeks before ours. And half the guest list is the same. There's nothing to do but smile and be happy for them.

I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes I let my panties get bunched when stuff like that happens to me, because I pride myself that I've 'done things right', and get shat on for it, but then when something happens that's not in the 'right' order of things for someone else it's like a big deal. Not that I'm looking for a cookie or anything for doing things in that way...but you know what I mean. So I can understand how you're upset.

just the other day a friend of mine told me she was preggers and her and her boyfriend were going to town hall to get married, and when i asked her when she was like probally this week. i coudln't help but be like a lil ticked off she was getting married before me lol

It's 2 weeks before yours - not the same date or even the same weekend as yours. I'd just try to be happy for my friend.
