Not sure how to react to this (FMIL)

FMIL have never had any issues, except for last night. I probably am blowing this out of porportion, but what do you think?

I randomly asked FH if his brother went to the tux shop to get a better deal on his son's tuxes. FMIL asks what we were talking about. I explained that a tux shop next to FBIL's house rents tuxes for kids at half the cost.

FH told her, that he told FBIL 3 times in the past couple of weeks, so if he did not go, then that is his problem.

She says. 'WHy don't you pay for their tuxes? If you don't want to pay for them, then you should not have asked him to rent tuxes for them'

W T H? His brother is 43 years old, he is not a little kid, and does not need to be held by the hand to figure these things out. Aside from that, we never asked him to get tuxes for his kids, that was all his idea.

She is really starting to get on my nerves.

i'd be annoyed as well ... but just ignore her and it'll blow over soon enough.

i agree with you though - you don't have to rent tuxes for FBIL's kids! just like you don't have to buy the FG's dress! it's ridiculous!

Yeah, I'm nasty. Don't go my route. Seriously though, you're right to be ticked off.

Thanks ladies! She does things like this all of the time. It's alright for them to ask us for things, like when she decided she wanted to travel, it was alright for us to chip in. But when FH asked his sisters to chip in for her plane ticket to come up for the wedding, FMIL called Edwin back and B*tched him out, saying that he has some nerve asking them for help.

Ugh!! I guess last night just sent me over the top with her cra*!

Nope. That is why I am not to concerned where he gets their tuxes from. We even looked into comparing prices for him, but I guess FMIL wants us to hold his hand and take him ourselves.

She even said that Edwin should have taken him on Saturday, THE DAY OF THE SHOWER!!!!!!
