Not sure what to do... its been on my mind lately

FMIL as of right now is not invited to the wedding...

If it turns out that she doesnt come (even though I have a feeling she will), I feel like I shouldn't do the mother/son (obviously she wont be there) - father/daughter dance... FH said even if his mom is there he doesnt want to dance with her...

i dont think it would bother me not to have that specific moment at the wedding... my father and i could definitely dance without it being announced...

You can do one and not the other. We're doing that. FMIL has a stick up her butt so we're not doing a mother/son dance.

yeah im thinking about not doing it at all because i know Shaun doesnt want to dance with her... even if his mom does go to the wedding...

Imo, If you want to dance with your dad then I would do it. I'm sure FH wouldn't mind.

We might only have a mother/son dance.

DO NOT deprive yourself OR your father of the special dance, unless of course, it does not matter to you. My FMIL is a troll, and FH does not want to dance with her...well guess what? I am making him. Save ourselves the Drama.

What if you dance with your Dad alone for like a minute of a not so mushy song and then the DJ/Band announces that the floor is open to everyone.... Or maybe even say 'All other Father's and Daughters'

Do you have uncles and female cousins? Grandfather's and Aunts/your mom??

Just an idea. I would do it, it might not seem important now but later on you might wish you did. I don't think FH has to dance with his Mom bc you are dancing with your Dad. It doesn't have to be all or nothing
